OurHouston.org looks at the past, present and future of the African American community in Houston, Texas. Developed by Class II of the Houston Black Leadership Institute (HBLI), this website celebrates and cherishes the past in which great Houston traditions and institutions were formed. It embraces our present as it showcases our community resources, partnerships and special events.  It also prepares us for our future as we seek to save our historical heritage and envision building a better Houston for future generations. OurHouston.org promotes African-American historic monuments and institutions throughout the city of Houston and serves as a resource directory that advocates:
